• Hi,

First of all, thank you for this great plugin. We are using on our sites as well as our clients’ sites and it’s working awesome.

I also appreciate Contact Form 7 integration and it’s working good, especially when we need to send submit action to Google Analytics. Recently we used Elementor for the development of one of our client’s sites and while CF7 integration is working flawlessly, I am wondering if there is a way of capturing successful action of an Elementor form. Here is eg. the page we would like to achieve that: https://juvelia.se/kontakt/ and I thought maybe adding similar regex rule to the trigger: gtm4wp.contactForm7Submitted|gtm.formSubmit that would catch submissions from both types of form, but I think that gtm.formSubmit is not something that is working for me, should I put something else?

Is there a way with GTM4WP to send that successful submit action for this Elementor form somehow?

    Thanks in advance. Cheers.

    Best regards,

    Marko

    Hi Marko,

Are you using the Form Widget?
    https://elementor.com/widgets/form-widget/

If yes, I would recommend to use the “Redirect & Thank You Page” feature which will show a dedicated thankyou page for your user after filling in your form.

This is a much cleaner way to track conversion and it is not only automatically traced in Google Analytics but several other ad systems and measurement tools will also easily see that you user did a conversion.

    Hi @duracelltomi ,

Thank you very much for your answer.

Yes, that is correct, we are using the form widget from Elementor.

We will then use the Thank you page feature, thank you for the advice.

    Best,

    Marko

    Hi @duracelltomi

Redirection after form submission is slow in Elementor. I propose to add data layer support for Elmentor Form Widget.

    Hi @markolgi

Do you find other solution other than redirection? Thank you.

    Hi @robert1112,

Is the standard GTM form submit trigger failing with Elementor’s forms?

GTM form submit trigger works with elementor forms, but we have found if mailchimp submit fails and the user keeps submitting it keeps registering as a submit. It would be better if it could be tied to a successful submission event. I was wondering if GTM submit trigger we could use the “Check Validation” option and use “submit_success” as the event, since I believe that is what Elementor fires after successful submission.

    Hi @bkey,

    I found this page:
    https://docs.elementor.com/article/281-form-faq

In the seciont “How do I track form submissions and conversions using Google Analytics and Tag Manager?” there is a mention of this “submit_success” event. Could you first test this on your site with some manual coding that this event is really only fired if your Mailchimp submission is also successful?

I would be happy to add this feature into GTM4WP but I would like to be absolutely certain that this will solve your and others cases
