    Hello,

I have several Elementor image carousels on my pages, But the caption is only displayed when I am logged in to wordpress. On other devices and browsers the caption is not visible. I have also switched to show “title” or “description” without success. I have recreated the widget and reinserted images without success.

I am using: Word press Version: 6.6.2
Elementor 3.24.7 in the free version
Theme, OceanWP v3.6.1 (change to Hello Theme didnt solve the problem)
the page is hosted by Ionos

    Elementor → System info – Pastebin.com

Elementor Editor console tab – Pastebin.com

I have activated all plugins except elementor and an ionons login plugin (hosting). Without success

I have cleared the Safari history on the iphone/ipad and the MS Edge cache on the laptop.
I also tried it on the iphone with the firefox browser.

I switched to the Hello theme. unfortunately without success. so i am back with Ocean WP

I have not inserted any custom code. (i cant code), i have only inserted a map symbol via code (where there is a link to google maps, at the location information above the image carousel. i have inserted the following there: <i class=”fas fa-map-marked”></i></span></i>

I deleted these text fields as a test, but that didn’t help either.

I didn’t do anything with CSS.

    What else can I try?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I have exactly the same problem. I have Blocksy theme and Elementor plugin, both free. It is community website and I am a novice volunteer looking after it. All the captions for my carousels (free widget) have disappeared on the live website this last week, even though I can see them when logged into the WP Dashboard. I have spent a long time trying to work out why, and isolated the problem to an Elementor plugin update from version 3.24.5. In other words, no problems with 3.24.5. But both updates 3.24.6 and 3.24.7 cause the missing captions problem.
I worked around the problem by using WP Rollback plugin and going back to earlier Elementor version but it is a temporary solution. So at the moment, captions are back.
I can’t code and only just understand the language of websites. But is there anything I can do?

I’ve the same problem with wp installation with Elementor and Elementor Pro.
I’ve checked all plugins and switched themes (using a paid theme) but with no results.
The only solution for now is what dnbwalks said. Roll back to Elementor 3.24.5
It’s for sure a problem caused by the latest Elementor updates (3.24.6 and 3.24.7)

thank you @dnbwalks for the workaround with roll back. That worked for me as well for the moment.

If someone knows that the problem is solved an an update of elementor to the latest version can be done, please let me know.

@homoluluberlin – in another discussion thread created about the same problem, @king74007 has coded a zip file to replace the bug in Elementor 3.24.7. He has also given step by step instructions on how to install it (if you, like me, don’t know). The file and the instructions can be found in his profile, under ‘replies created’ if you can’t find the thread.
