    Hello,

I am not a web designer, I am an just an illustrator, but with a number of self-taught years of running my own WordPress site. Elementor has been great, up until todays update. All of a sudden, I try to edit any pages and it just stays stuck on the loading screen.

I have tried turning off ALL plugins – did not fix the issue

I have tried running it on the twenty sixteen theme with all other plugins off – did not fix the issue

I have updated the MEMORY LIMIT to 256MB – did not fix the issue.

Currently running my test site with the ASTRA theme. Theme, Elementor Plugin, and WordPress are all at current versions.

Here is the debug message from my system info:

You will notice I am getting TWO debug errors, however these seem to be above my skill level and I am not sure what they are telling me.

I am hoping there is a bug in the newest update, and there will be a revised update in the next day or so…. but just in case not….ANY HELP PLEASE? Thank you in advance.

    Hi,

I’m getting the same problem too (forever loading), since I updated my theme (Customify), yesterday.
    What’s wrong?

    Thanks!

For anyone else having this issue i managed to resolve by doing the following:

    Create a new page
Add some text using the WordPress default editor and publish the page.
Now when you click edit with elementor it should load normally.

You will have to repeat the above steps for every new page created.

Alternatively you could roll back to the previous versions as this also fixes the issues.

A further update on the issue:

It would also appear adblockers can cause this issue, in my case AdBlock Plus was the culprit. Try disabling any ad blockers you may have installed.

    (@compycloud)

Tried disable adblockers on customers not the problem.

Customers problem is tha they cant add new Pages, stuck on LOADING or the page timing out att cloudflare.

    1. Disable Pro.
    2. Edit page, ADD TEMPLATE. Add new free Block.
    3. Update.
    3. Close editor
    4. Enable Pro or activate.
    5. Edit page, and ADD TEMPLATE. Add pro Page.

    @compycloud

If you load up the page in Chrome, right click and inspect whilst on the loading screen does it show any errors?

Have you tried rolling back to a previous version?

I am having the same error when I try to edit a page with Elementor, it gets stuck on the gray loading screen and never resolves. This started happening a few days ago.

I’ve tried everything suggested on this thread and on the Elementor support website.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi luxedesignco

Please can you provide the error message given when you inspect the elementor loading page using the dev tools in Google Chrome.

I realized after everything I tried it was from the Rocket Loader in CloudFlare, so I turned that off and now I am all set! Thanks for the swift reply!

Yes, please do release an updated version with the fix, I was hoping today’s release had the fix… but it didn’t. I been having the same stuck on-load page for the last 2 weeks, when I bought a theme that packaged Elementor, I then purchased the Pro version thinking that may be the issue, yet, it still has the same problem… from what I am reading it seems to have been an reoccurring problem. How can I fix this holdup..?

    Hi Giga,

Are you using a CDN ie cloudflare, any other caching plugin on your WP site? And do you have a adblock installed to chrome?

Do you know how to use the Devtools in chrome? If so can you send a copy of the error?

I know you shouldn’t have to by have you tried rolling back to pre 2.3.2 to see if that makes any difference?

Have you emailed Elementor direct they may also be able to offer some advice?

    gig397

    (@gig397)

    Yes, I’m using CDN.
    AdBlock Installed.

I’m not getting any error. It’s just stuck at the white-ish screen with Elementor loading logo.

I tried rolling back to older versions but it did not work either.

I haven’t sent any mail. I’ll send one immediately.

    Hi Giga,

If you are using CloudFlare disable rocket loader, and disable your adblocker then try again.

    (@lpd99)

I was experiencing this issue. Elementor free, latest versions.

Disabled Cloudflare, opened a new session in chrome incognito and issue was gone. Looks like cloudflare (probably rocket loader as suggested) is the cause.
