    Hi Developers,

After updating to 2.5.7 I see the texts of my page in Gutenberg -nice update- but now the Elementor editor only loads in Safe Mode.

I restored a backup that I made just before the update and everything works fine. Then I updated only Elementor plugin and the problem came back immediately.

  • Having the same issue, plus an additional issue:

The custom post type ‘Portfolio’ that comes with Jupiter X does not load the EDIT WITH ELEMENTOR button anymore.

Pages and Posts do load the button.

The Portfolio elementor templates also still show.

I’m rolling back and not updating as regular as I should since this is taking too much time.

Im a PRO user so im glad @ivangil did the testing and pinpointed the problem to be in the core. Thanks.

Ramzii, since you are a Pro user, you can ask the developers for support and they are going to pay more attention to you. I know because I was a Pro user in the past and they were paying more attention to my questions then than now.

So do us -you and I- a favor and ask them directly.

Also, please post your case here, so maybe that way we will be listened:

Seems the only option I have is to roll back to 2.4.7 or disable my PODS plugin to get elementor to work again.

That’s what I did. In my case, I went back to Elementor 2.5.5 and it is working fine. Let’s hope they fix it quickly so we can keep updating our websites to the last plugin version.

I too have the same problem – and when I read the suggested proposals for finding a solution such as “close your virus program”, “close other issuers widgets” etc I get really angry. Elementor should not blame others – this issue came up for me as for all others with the updates Elementor made. Elementor should fix this as soon as poosible and not stick the head into the sand blaming others.

If Elementor does not fix this I will have to find another plugin to fix the design.

    Have a nice day.

Judith, please tell Elementor about your problem here:

    https://github.com/elementor/elementor/issues/7467

This way they are going to recognize that there is a problem with version 2.5.7 and most probably they will address it more quickly.

There is a new version, 2.5.8 and in the version details it says:
“Fix: Restore wp_localize_script for Gutenberg editor”

It doesn’t look like a fix to our problem. I am afraid of installing 2.5.8. Did anybody with my problem tried it out?

Honestly it doesn’t look like Elementor developers care about our bug report at all.

I guess we have not choice but to start giving them a 1 star review for bad support at:

Today, shilo-ey from Elementor promised me to address our issue an release a patch as soon as possible.

You can read it and follow progress here:

Ivangil – I can sure report the problem under the link you added above. But what is github.com?

And by the way – elementor seem to have serious problems. Incl their site seem to be down.

I just added my “Me Too” to another Forum support request earlier in the sequence.

Curious if anyone in this thread has exactly my experience (slightly different than what was discussed at Github):

    • The full Elementor editor does not load for any page.
    • Safe Mode doesn’t fix anything nor does it help with any further information at all.
    • Existing pages I tried (3) allow me to access and edit any element, column, section, etc. already applied.

Just wondering if the fix address at Github will cover every “broken” scenario.

For Judit: There is a wonderful description of what is Github on this video:

    For everybody:

Elementor acknowledged our issue and released version 2.5.9 which they claim is the solution for our problems. It didn’t solve mine, but I was able to fix my problem by myself. Here is what I did:

    1. I deactivated every active plugin, one by one. I tried to load the editor every time. It didn’t help.

    2. I logged off from WordPress, then I open it up in an incognito window. The editor loaded correctly. This told me that something in my cache was causing the problem.

    3. I went to Chrome > More tools > Clear browsing data. I checked “Cached images and files”. Then I clicked “Clear data”.

This solved my problem. Now Elementor editor is loading correctly. Very slowly, but it is working.
