Elementor Editing Feature

    Hello,

    I am hoping to be able to easily resolve this problem. I am trying to link the “BOOK NOW” button to our new temporary contact page. When I choose to “Edit With Elementor” it takes me to the editing widget dashboard but I cannot edit the current page. Nothing is clickable on the HOME PAGE I am trying to edit. I also cannot add any new widgets.

    We did update to an SSL Certificate last fall but the URL issue has been addressed and they are all in good standing so that is not the problem as far as I can see.

    If you have any ideas as to why the pages are not editable please help as I am at a loss and frustrated after trying repeatedly for hours to make this work.

  • Was the home page originally created with Elementor or is your theme putting it together via theme options? (Viewing the source of the page, it doesn’t seem so). If the theme is creating the home page via theme options, you’ll probably have to “recreate” the home page (starting from scratch), using Elementor, and then tell WordPress to use the new page as the home page via Settings > Reading. On the other hand, if the home page is just a regular page (not created by the theme options), then Elementor *should* be able to edit it.
