Recently we introduced SSL for the admin panel and booking page on our site. Since then elementor has been unable to load citing the error:

“Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://habitastulum.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=18&action=elementor’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure resource ‘https://habitastulum.com/?elementor-preview&1504829831481’. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS”

I’ve tried everything from reinstalling the plugin, changing the theme and replacing the urls and nothing seems to work. Even when we create a new page, Elementor still fails. When going into the Elementor editor it seems to load very slowly and after 5 minutes gets stuck right at the end.

Any help on this would be much appreciated as we’ve run out of ideas on how to fix it!

    Thanks very much,
    James

    Hi @jamesdward

Did you already use the Replace URL tool of Elementor?

If it is not the case, please go to Tools in the menu of Elementor on your WordPress Dashboard.

    Hi @arielk-1

Thanks very much for your reply!

Yes I have already tried this and it still doesn’t work. I think I have found a sort of fix – in WPEngine I set “Unconfigured Pages” to allow both HTTPS and HTTP. Now if I go to a page and make sure it is https://habitastulum, I can press “Edit with Elementor” there and it will work

It still however doesn’t work from the admin panel, so isn’t a great solution…

I see in the source code of the site links are not good, for example:
    https://jamesward.design/habitas//wp-content/uploads/2017/07/jungle-room-3-1.jpg

Note that you need to enter in the Replace URL tool the previous domain including the prefix:
    https://jamesward.design/habitas/

Then the new domain includes https in the prefix:
    https://habitastulum.com/

And let me know if it worked out for you
