    Hello!

I’m having some problems with changing things with elementor. I make my changes in the editor, update and it looks like it changed, but when I go to the frontend it didn’t.
This happens with big things (a whole new page) as well as with small changes (changing the image or the width of a column).
The worst problem is with the page that a linked above, in the part with the blog (from premium addons). Originally it had the images to the right and aligned with the text. When I change it back, elementor shows me the changes in editor, and even when I ask it to show the page. But when I go directly to the page, it didn’t change at all.

in this link the page is as it should be: https://imgur.com/a/407D9Cw

I seems like elementor can’t apply the changes to the site or if there is something blocked.
    Can you help?

    thank you and best regards!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi,

This can be caused by a conflict of some sort.

To make sure it’s not a conflict, I would like to have you perform a few steps to check –
Go to Elementor > Settings on your WordPress dashboard.
Click the Advanced tab and then switch the CSS print method to Internal embedding.
Clear all cache: your browser’s cache, other plugins’ cache, server cache (if possible).
If the issue persists, deactivate all plugins apart from Elementor. If this helps, reactivate them one by one to find the culprit.
If this doesn’t help, switch your theme (temporarily) and see if it makes any difference.

Also, check if you do not have any write permissions, go to your Elementor tab > system info and check the first part for write permissions.

If there are any issues, contact your hosting provider to check it.

    Hello!

sorry for the delay! I switched the print method, cleared the caches and it worked for about four or five minutes. Then I tried using the health check to deactivate plugins and things became quite weird very quickly. Each time I changed to troubleshooting mode I was unable to change themes or activate or deactivate plugins, always with messages that it had failed to do so.

Then I got a lot of errors like a “A plugin has prevented updates by disabling wp_version_check()” and call to REST API gets 403 answer.

I can’t find the plugin and I’m at my wits end. It’s getting so complicated that I believe I will have a microsoft windows moment and will try to reinstall wordpress…

I have a question: if I uninstall elementor and reinstall, is there a way to avoid loosing all the configurations I made? Like exporting and importing or something similar?

    thanks and best regards!

    Hi,
    I appreciate the information.

403 Errors usually come from the server-side, I suggest contacting your hosting so they can run a check.

You can export the website using our guide for migration, also having a backup is very important –

    Hi!

    thank you for the information!

The problem may be with my hosting even if health check say it’ a plugin that’s blocking the updates?

    Hi,

Usually, 403 errors are server issues, can also be a PHP issue if it’s not 7.4
Checking with your hosting can be good anyway, you can deactivate all plugins and do the update

If it’s a conflict there isn’t much we can do as we can’t predict this type of issue, did you update WordPress?

As this — A plugin has prevented updates by disabling wp_version_check()does indicate that a plugin is blocking WP, maybe your hosting will have a PHP log indicating which plugin is causing this issue so you can contact them.

    Hi!

Thank you for your suggestions, I will ask my hosting about logs and checking my configurations!
Everything is updated and PHP is 7.4, if I remember well.
I will close this topic, as it really looks like the problem is not coming from elementor.
Thank you again for your help and orientations!

    best regards!

    Hi,
Thank you, I appreciate it, please come back if you need any further assistance in the future!
