• For the first time, on an Elementor (and Pro) system, I noticed this along the top of the screen: “Elementor Data Updater. Database update process is running in the background. Taking a while?”

    I haven’t run the “Click here to run it how” button yet. Is it safe to do? I’ve seen some past threads suggesting that it results in a fatal error.

    Despite definitely being on 3.2.2 (and Pro 3.2.1), I see no mention of 3.2.2 in the log, relative to data updating or anything else, which is strange. The only recent lines:

    2021-04-22 14:01:08 [info] Elementor data updater process has been queued. [array (
    ‘plugin’ => ‘Elementor’,
    ‘from’ => ‘3.1.4’,
    ‘to’ => ‘3.2.1’,
    )]
    2021-04-22 14:01:08 [info] elementor::elementor_updater Started
    2021-04-22 14:01:08 [info] Elementor/Upgrades – _v_3_2_0_migrate_breakpoints_to_new_system Start
    2021-04-22 14:01:08 [info] Elementor/Upgrades – _v_3_2_0_migrate_breakpoints_to_new_system Finished
    2021-04-22 14:01:08 [info] Elementor data updater process has been completed. [array (
    ‘plugin’ => ‘Elementor’,
    ‘from’ => ‘3.1.4’,
    ‘to’ => ‘3.2.1’,
    )]
    2021-04-22 14:01:09 [info] Elementor data updater process has been queued. [array (
    ‘plugin’ => ‘Elementor’,
    ‘from’ => ‘3.1.4’,
    ‘to’ => ‘3.2.1’,
    )]

    I’m looking into all this not just because of what I mentioned at the top but because certain Elementor images, like the little arrows in the top menu, and even the Elementor elements that you normally see when editing a page, are not displaying. I suspect the above is why but wanted to check.

    BTW, I noticed this on the log page, in the Elementor – Compatibility Tag section:

    -Elementor Pro: incompatible

    As mentioned, it’s also on the latest version. I don’t see how it could be incompatible, but if it is, maybe this is part of the problem?

    With no response here, I pressed the button, and it almost instantly finished. The log then added:

    `2021-04-28 23:56:40 [info] elementor::elementor_updater Started
    2021-04-28 23:56:40 [info] Elementor/Upgrades – _v_3_2_0_migrate_breakpoints_to_new_system Start
    2021-04-28 23:56:40 [info] Elementor/Upgrades – _v_3_2_0_migrate_breakpoints_to_new_system Finished
    2021-04-28 23:56:40 [info] Elementor data updater process has been completed. [array (
    ‘plugin’ => ‘Elementor’,
    ‘from’ => ‘3.2.1’,
    ‘to’ => ‘3.2.2’,
    )]`

    But no resolution of the widespread element problem. So I tried rolling back to 3.2.1, but also no help. Quite curious, but unless you have some other ideas. Elementor may not be responsible, despite the coincidence of the version upgrade and the resulting error mentioned above.

    BTW, also tried regenerating CSS (in Elementor) as well as clearing OPCache (separate plugin).
