This keeps popping up over the years.
Others have posted the same issue numerous times.

The solution is to simply log into the site, and manually update elementor. Then WP-CLI works again.

However, this is horrible for us as an agency.

Every time Elementor breaks WP-CLI from being able to do updates, it means we have to have someone log into *hundreds* if not *thousands* of websites, to do a manual update. Time is money.

Elementor completely breaks our automation with WP-CLI.

Is there anything the elementor team can do to fix this?
Ive never seen any other plugin out right BREAK WP-CLI like this.

  • Hi,

To troubleshoot this issue, follow these instructions:

If you’re locked out of your WordPress dashboard, open the recovery email sent to you from WordPress. Click the link in that email to gain access to your site’s WordPress dashboard once again.

Deactivate all plugins apart from Elementor. If this helps, reactivate them one by one to find the culprit.

If this doesn’t work, switch your theme temporarily to Twenty Nineteen and see if that helps.

If this doesn’t work, make sure you are using the updated versions of Elementor.

If this doesn’t work, make sure your WordPress site meets the basic requirements recommended for Elementor. You can check this in your WP Dashboard > Elementor > System Info. If needed, you can ask your hosting provider to make these changes for you.
