    Hi There,

I recently started a blog using TinyForge as the theme. It’s a wonderful theme. Unfortunately, the el-icons are not displaying properly in Opera 12.17. On my website, the problem exists with:
the home page; categories; search results; and my own menu pages. The strange thing is, the el-icons display properly in posts.

El-icons not working are: the menu chevron down; wordpress icon; the heading icons for category and search results.

I recently updated Opera to the latest version 12.17. It may be a problem with this update but I don’t understand how the el-icons can display properly in posts but not pages. I don’t think it was a problem previously in Opera. Can you have a look?

    Thanks very much.

Could you give your site address?

Also I checked Opera site, default download version for Win. is Opera_22.0.1471.70. I guess you’re using Opera with old core. Reading this article seems that there is no point to use old browser, because its development is discontinued and last update was just security fix, all users will be autoupdated to new core:

Could you please check with the newest Opera?

Thanks Tomas for the article about Opera. I will download the latest Opera in the next day or two. See if it fixes the issue. In the meantime, can you tell if it is caused by something else? I’m pretty sure the el-icons were ok in Opera 12.16 (before the security fix).

I’m getting this problem now in Firefox. Just happened a few minutes ago. El-icons not displaying for pages. It was fine a few hours ago. Possibly, something to do with the webhost server.

Are you using any caching? Or are you on WP-Engine server? Cleaning the cache might help. Also you can hard refresh the page with CTRL+F5 on web browser.

I see you are using cache. Try to disable CSS minify, check if it works, or disable JavaScript minify and see if that helps.

Or perhaps just clearing current cache might help.

Aha! I disabled CSS minify and cleared the cache. It’s working now in Opera.

Now that I think about it, I recently enabled the minify.

Firefox was displaying the icons again prior to this change – unsure what was the problem/solution.

    Thanks again for your help.

P.S: Clearing current cache doesn’t work. I tried that previously.
