    Dear Yoast Team,

I’ve searched this forum and I see there have been similar issues in the past, but I can’t find any relating to BuddyPress profile pages. This is the issue I’m having. I’m getting a Google Search Console warning saying there is an “Unnamed item” error when I inspect any user profile page on my website.

    Please see this image: https://imgur.com/FPGDWOO

The error is occurring within the Yoast SEO script. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

We are sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with the item.name missing properties from breadcrumbs schema markup.

The issue you’re currently experiencing here typically occurs when the relevant page has no name on it. Can you please confirm whether you have defined the page name on the relevant page?

If yes, please share the relevant page URL here with us so that we can test it on our end.

Hi @mazedulislamkhan , thanks for your response. I think it must be a BuddyPress issue. The page is automatically generated when a new user signs up, so I don’t set a page name manually. The page is created at domain.com/user/username. It looks like BuddyPress is generating this page without defining a page name. I’ll get in touch with them to see if they can help.

    Thanks!

Hi Yoast team, sorry for opening this up again. This might sound like a silly question, but how can I “define the page name”? I’ve found a page eg. domain.com/member, which I can edit. Then profile pages are made using that structure eg. domain.com/member/username1, domain.com/member/username2 etc.

I’m assuming I can solve my issue by making a change to the domain.com/member page, but I’m not quite sure how to define the page name. Does this involve enabling breadcrumbs?

    Thanks!

Thanks for following up with us @bibblybob. If you can edit the /member page from the WordPress dashboard, you can simply write the name of the page (if it has none) using the WordPress content editor that you normally would when adding a new page or post.

Can you please confirm whether the breadcrumbs error persist after adding the name on the relevant page?

Hi @mazedulislamkhan, yes the page already has a name on it. It’s strange that the breadcrumbs error persists even though the page has a name. Is there a way I can send you the link privately to check if there’s a bug?

    Thanks!

We are unable to send/receive messages privately here as this is a public forum. If the nature of your issue requires sending us a link privately, it would require you to have a Yoast SEO Premium subscription or willing to purchase one at https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/, you can have our premium support investigate the issue privately to see what’s going on here.

    Thanks for your understanding!

Hi @devnihil, thanks for your reply. I’ll have a look at Yoast premium.

In the meantime, I’ve created a shortened link to the page I’m having issues with: https://rebrand.ly/072vhbv
The page has a name but for some reason, I’m still getting a breadcrumb error.

    Hi,

This link https://rebrand.ly/072vhbv doesn’t seem to be loading on our end. Could you check if it’s working?

There is an open GitHub issue regarding BuddyPress integration. You can check it and subscribe as well.

Hi @mikes41720, thanks for the GitHub link. I’ll check it out.

Oh that’s strange that the link isn’t working. I’ve created some more. Feel free to check any one of them. They should all direct to the same page:
