• The restyled content for print works well, and I haven’t any problems with that. I did, however, notice that it functions by duplicating the content and hiding it off the page. Would this, in any way, create SEO problems? I fear that this might cause google to recognize it as duplicate content and therefore penalize the pages and posts that are using the print button.

What are your thoughts on this? I’m using it for now on a non-live website for testing, but that’s a worry for me for when the site goes live.

    Thanks for any assistance.

    Hi,

I don’t think it should be a problem because the duplicate content is on the same page, and loaded with JavaScript. Duplicate content problems are normally when multiple websites use the same text.

We’ve never had any reports of issues.

That being said, thanks for mentioning this. I’ve been working on an update this week that’s more efficient and makes use of session storage instead. This should be released fairly soon.

    Thanks,
    Simon

    It’s been updated now.

It uses session storage for the printing functionality now.
