Thanks for reaching out @olivierhennes. As you’ve already tried the “Redo plugin setup” button, with the same occurring, please perform a plugin reset and share whether you’re then able to proceed with setup?(Tools > Available Tools > Reset Site Kit).

Note that by resetting, you will need to connect all previously connected modules once more.

What I suspect happened in your case, rather than being a plugin related change, was something at Google service, web host or network level impacted your site credentials when communicating with the Site Kit service. By resetting you’ll reset those credentials.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. We also have a guide on the plugin website in relation to this error which contains more details of this.

Thx a bunch James, that worked for me. I could reset the plugin in the tools section. Before i only tried in the plugin section…

Thx for the very quick answer.

Glad to hear that worked, and appreciate the update @olivierhennes. If you run into any further errors or if you have any Site Kit related queries, be sure to get in touch.

If you have a moment free please also consider leaving a review, in particular as it sounds like you have been a Site Kit user for some time before you encountered this error.

Same issue. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and get: Error: Bad Request invalid parameter: ‘site_id’

    Help!

@caldiatech Sorry to hear that. Rather than uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin, have you tried to reset Site Kit before then checking the plugin dashboard once more?

I found another thread with the “reset” button under tools. Once I did that, everything connected fine. Yay!

Glad to hear it @caldiatech, appreciate the update.

This is extremely well hidden. Is that deliberate?

Great question @samtuke! We placed this here as in most cases users can reset via the Site Kit “settings” tab. This settings tab is only visible after users set up the plugin successfully.

With some users having successfully set up the plugin, but then having changed their site credentials. the plugin may become disconnected. We therefore did need to have an alternate option to reset the plugin, with more details on this here.

As resetting the plugin is more drastic than disconnecting your Google account from Site Kit, or uninstalling and reinstalling, we felt it appropriate to place here.

Thanks for that context @jamesosborne. Appreciated.
