Edit/update not working on some posts

  • I have to edit something on all the posts on one of my blogs – some posts update ok, others just don’t – I make the change, click Update and the page refreshes with the normal ‘Post updated’ message but the content is back to how it was previously.

    As I said some posts will update fine, but I cannot find anything anomalous on the posts that won’t, all of them are in different categories, they have no odd characters in the post name, nothing that stands out as being at all different to the posts that have updated fine!

    I’ve disabled plugins & the theme but no affect and also tried a re-install of the latest version of WP.

    Any ideas?

  • Have you ever created any custom page templates on that site?

    Nope, just a basic site with a theme installed, no custom changes

    But what makes it more confusing is that some edit/update fine while others won’t
