• I have the current WP 5.2.3 using the Classic Editor, not the Gutenberg blocks (yet).

I have a recurrent issue with my post edits not being saved – via either auto or manual save (update).

    1. Whenever my login session expires there is no warning. I keep working on my post then click UPDATE and….I get kicked out to the login page. When I get back – all my edits are gone.
    2. It also happens without the end of the session. I keep working on my post, click UPDATE and as the page reloads I get an error message on a black page:

ERROR – this link is no longer available.

when got back in the browser – all my edits are gone.

I don’t have to tell you how frustrating and time wasting this is. Why are the WP save functions so unreliable??

Regarding the end of the login session, I was advised by my theme developer that Wp always gives a pop up warning that this session is about to terminate. I have NEVER seen such a warning.

Could anyone please offer a solution to this unreliable save function of wordpress?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I see that you are using Site Origin page builder plugin. Not really sure but I would suggest to check this support ticket from Site Origin plugin and see if you have a similar problem.

Another way to debug is using a Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. That plugin allows you to deactivate all the plugins only for currently logged in user. Enable the plugins one by one and that may help you to find the culprit!

thanks – but that’s a totally different issue.

Mine has nothing to do with the Page Builder but with WP save/update function.

I don’t feel this ia a plugin conflict issue either, just simply the reliability of WP saves.

Any idea how to fix this?

I will try the plugin you suggest, thanks. or..may be not. Just saw dozens of poor reviews saying that this plugin damaged the websites…..

I am unaware that the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin “damaging” a website. The only way I could see that happen is if after a plugin is reactivated a plugin’s settings have not been re-established but again, never heard of that. It all depends on what “damaged” means.

Monitoring the post Samuel recommeded seems to be a great idea.

    Good luck.
