Editors unable to adjust Settings

    We are, trying to, use your plugin for podcasting on a Genesis theme, Multisite install. We have also installed the Genesis Support plugin. However, users in the role of Editor are unable to make changes to the settings panel. Super admins are allowed. I’ve spent many hours trying to figure out a workaround to this issue with a tweak here and there but nothing seems to give the editors anything but the “Cheatin’ huh” error message when they try and save setting changes. We have even tried the User Role Editor plugin to specifically allow editors the manage_podcast role that was added.

  • @shatter72 any updates to this issue? I’m getting the same thing.
    I think the user has to have the full “manage_options” capability, but I don’t want to give our podcast editors that much power, since it pretty much opens the rest of the back end to them.

    I quickly looked through the plugin files and can’t really see what is setting the permissions to upload/edit settings.

    Perhaps the author is still around??
