Seems the issue is that when trying to edit the settings to this plugin it automatically opens the global wordpress settings menu rather than the global content block settings.

This needs to be fixed so that I can allow editors to add/remove/edit content blocks without globally granting them access to make changes to all wordpress core settings.

Hi hexified … I hadn’t tested this myself, having only recently taken over this plugin. But I’ll be blunt, this isn’t an easy fix. What it’s going to entail is reworking the plugin from the ground up, as it’s built on links to options-general.php. This isn’t really acceptable, but it’s going to be a lot of work, and would end up being the update to version 3.0.0. I’ll plan on doing this, the issue is I don’t know how long it’s going to take. That’s really the best and most open response I have for this problem. Wish I could be of more help at the moment, hopefully I can get it going in a reasonable amount of time.

I’m having this problem too. What is weird is that editors used to be able to edit the blocks. Something changed on a previous update (my editor probably hasn’t tried to change something in a while) that caused it to stop working.

Same problem here. I appreciate the difficulty, but it would be really good to get this fixed. I don’t like giving editors admin privs.

I’m currently testing version 2.1.6, which bases the pages on admin.php instead of the current options-general.php. I’ll be doing a release by … January 19th. I’m hoping this is the solution.

I would like to add something. On my website not even an adminstrator is able to edit the content blocks, due to the fact that in the editing screen the text in the blocks is simply not showing.

    What i do:
I open the the manage section of the plugin.
I choose a block for editing.
    The block editing screen opens.
It shows the name etc but not the content of the block.

But on the pages where the blocks are inserted the contents are shown.

    Help requested.

    Kind regards, Viktor

    Hi

Any update on this? I’m also struggling with this issue.

I tried installing some “user level access” plugin to see if I could give permission to edit the blocks but no luck.

    Please let us know.

    Thanks

    Still needs to be addressed.
