Editor won’t let me edit my PHP files….why?

  • I went in this morning to do some work on my PHP files in Theme editor and all of a sudden it’s telling me:

    ‘Sorry, that file cannot be edited.’

    For every single one of them. I can still edit the css but that’s it.

    This has never happened before. Any suggestions? I am using paid godaddy hosting.

  • If you’ve not changed anything yourself then the server security configuration (such as file ownership or rights) must have changed. Check with your hosting provider.
