    why is the font for the editor / tinymce so huge?

    I had some time to figure out that there is an editor-style.css in the package and that I can change the font-size

    .mceContentBody {font-size: 20px;}

    that is too huge for writing normal text, the font-size for Headings is frightening huge…

    why?

    An editor needs space to write text, he is not painting the letters like in first class at school …

  • The font sizes in the editing screen match the font size of the text when viewed on the website. Is this what it looks like to you?

    yes, and that is, in my opinion, far too big! If you only write 2 sentences in a post, it might work… but if you really write text it is horror… ;=)

    I can see what you mean. I imagine it could be bothersome. They really encourage themes to have the same sizes in the editor and on the front end, so I don’t think we’ll change that. Do you use the full screen editor? That might help somewhat. That is, if you haven’t already customized your editor styles already. ??

    I have customized my css for the childtheme not to use so huge fonts (I want text, not pictures on my site ;=)) and I have edited the editor-stylesheet as well.

    Glad to hear you got it sorted out, Avantart. We’ll keep this feedback in mind going forward.
