Editor spans over save and publish

  • Suddenly the editor “write” spans over the save and publish at right. Unable to save or publish, except when switching to html. Problem persisted after upgrading to tinymce 3.0.

  • What is your screen resolution? WordPress 2.5 works well on anything down to 600×800, or perhaps you use a plugin to add more buttons to the visual editor making its toolbar too long?

    No, the problem just appeared. And doesn’t disappear. I uninstalled TimyMCE but it did not solve it. Then I installed TINYmce 3.0 and tried to make a menu with as few buttons as possible, but it did not remove any of the buttons from the editor. And default text-input in the visual edit became in the middle of the box…

    Sounds like caching problem. Try clearing browser’s cache or different browser. Also in TinyMCE Advanced 3.0 (that’s the plugin you’re using, right?), uncheck the “Import the theme’s css” option.
