Editor link bug – adds local domain

If I create a link; e.g., -a href=”https://www.sample-link.com” target=”_blank”-sample-link.com-/a (brackets removed so you’ll see the text), it works just as is seen here. But when I save the post, the actual link points to -a href=”https://www.mydomain.comhttps://www.sample-link.com” target=”_blank”-sample-link.com-/a

What is the fix?
