Editor + LifterLMS Instructor role

  • Hello,

    I use LifterLMS on a website. When I assign to a user the “Editor” role + the course “Instructor” role, for this user, in the back-end menu, the “Posts” item disappears. This user still has the edit post capability because he can access to the post page (direct access to /wp-admin/edit.php). Just the menu item disappears.

    When I remove the “Instructor” role, then the “Posts” menu item appears again.

    Do you have a idea why the “Posts” item can’t be displayed when a user has these 2 roles?

    Hi @omahoung

    Members doesn’t block menu items in WordPress dashboard for roles. Are you sure you don’t have a custom code which uses remove_menu_page function for removing menu items or one of your plugins doesn’t include similar code?

    Hi,
    Yes, the problem probably comes from LifterLMS, somewhere in the code they remove the menu page “edit.php” for the Instructor role. I will contact them.
