• I’ve come across a few posts like this in regards to Safari, but I’m using Firefox. I’m hoping someone can help me.

    No matter how many hard returns appear in the editor in visual mode, the actual post is always smooshed together. I’ve tried the </br> and <p> </p> tricks- and they do work, but only if I publish directly from html mode.

    If I realize I need to fix something in the post, I can’t use the visual editor to fix it or I’ll have to go back and add <p> </p> to every paragraph.

    I suspect it might be the theme, as I have other WP blogs that don’t have this problem- but other info on the web points to tinyMCE. Please Help!

    I just tried to edit in internet explorer, and no change happened. Still the hard returns have failed to appear.

    Why has no one holpen us?

    Because people aren’t psychic. They can’t guess your site url.

    That’s no excuse.

    But seriously, thank you for your reply.

    I paste this in for a hard line feed, paste in html mode, it will survive switching to visual mode: <br class="blank" />

    Try editing style.css and removing:

    .post p {margin:0;}

    Looks like it’s repeated in at least two separate places in the file, so you’ll need to make 2 deletions.

    Ta da.

    worked

    Esmi, your consultation has to have been worth at least $50, maybe $100; I wish I had a way to reward you.

    Also, thank you Saildude, maybe you could save a few steps, if you could edit your stylesheet, too.

    Oh – I do like your fee estimations! Perhaps I need to hire you as my agent. ?? Glad to hear that it’s sorted now.
