Editor in Comments

  • I have an editor showing up in the comments fields on my posts, how can i remove it and go back to just having a comment field. I am not certain how it showed up but it use to just be a comment box.

    Now I am showing the editor both visual and text and I cannot find in the setting how to disable it.

    Does anyone know how to turn it off?

    Most likely it was enabled by either a function added to a child theme functions.php file, or installation of a comments editor plugin.

    do you know of anyway to turn it back off. Nothing was installed our changed in the plugins. No new them was added, it has to be a setting somewhere that was clicked or turned on.

    Is there some type of configuration setting somewhere to get it out of my comments.

    It is becoming very annoying that this is so hard to configure.

    if you suspect a setting, it might be from your theme;

    what theme are you working with?

    as general troubleshooting, have you tried to temporarily deactivate all plugins to see if that solves the problem?
