• I’m having trouble with my editor. Before I even click anything, it will just go to “Editor experienced unexpected error” and then won’t let me click anything.

I’ve tried disabling gutenberg- no luck
I’ve tried installing classic editor- no luck
I’ve tried health check- everything is close to perfect, no luck
I’ve updated all of my plugins- no luck

Has anyone else experienced this?? Is there an issue with Yoast?

  • Yes. I’ve been experiencing it for the last week and don’t know how to resolve it.

    Hey,

Did you try to disable all your plugins? if not then please try this and then use the editor and tell me if it is working or not?

    Eventually yes.

I downloaded the free ‘Health-Check & Troubleshooting’ plug-in. It’s a bit tedious, but once in troubleshooting mode, you slowly enable each of your plug-ins one by one (or three by three, if you are more adventurous). As you click the ‘enable in troubleshooting mode’ for each one, you then switch to a post you are editing/updating. If there error doesn’t appear, you continue to enable additional plug-ins gradually and keep switching back to editing/ updating mode to check it’s effect. You will eventually enable the plug-in or plug-ins that are causing the error, as the error will reappear when you switch back to the post you are updating. Disable or deactivate the plug-in(s) responsible. Once done, you can then exit troubleshooting mode, and the error shouldn’t occur.
