After upgrading Seriously Simple Podcasting to the latest version (and also after doing the database upgrade thing that was requested), I now get “The editor has encountered an unexpected error” error every time I try to edit a post or create a new one. Disabling the plugin makes it stop.

Can anyone help me? I am using WordPress 5.9.7.

    Thanks!

  • I see several comments on here that this plugin quit working, with no responses to any of them. I rolled back to the previous version and it started working again. I hope this helps. This is how I did it:

    • Disable autoupdates for the plugin if it is enabled.
    • Install WP Rollback plugin. This enables you to roll back to a previous version. Enable it.
    • In your plugins list, find the Seriously Simple Podcast plugin. You will notice a new option called “Rollback”. Click that and it will list all the versions. I went back 1 version. After it installs, activate it.
    • My Podcasts now worked as before.

    Hi @locksleyu,

Do you observe any JavaScript errors in the console? You can inspect this by pressing the F12 key.

Additionally, does this error appear when creating new episodes?

Also, is the issue limited to episodes, or does it extend to posts and pages as well?

    Best regards,
    Serhiy.
