Editor enabled but still doesn't show up

    When I try to check the ‘Fancy Editor’ checkbox in bbPress settings, it won’t stick. I assume this is because the fancy editor is disabled.

    So when I installed this plugin and enabled the ‘Fancy Editor Full’ and ‘Fancy editor media upload’ option, the editor still does not appear. I have checked in the database and the options are getting saved. Even when I manually updated bbPress’s _bbp_use_wp_editor, and this plugins ja_bbpress_tinymce_full and ja_bbpress_tinymce_media the tinyMCE does not show up. Any help would be appreciated.

    What version of WordPress and bbPress are you using?

    What is your URL?

    I would first try switching you theme to TwentyEleven (or Twelve) to make sure it is not a conflict with your theme. After that I could disable all plugins other than this one and bbPress to make sure it is not a conflict with another plugin. These two things will rule out some possible underlying issues.

    This seems to be an incompatibility with bbpress threaded replies. I was able to get around it by adding remove_filter('bbp_use_wp_editor', '__return_false'); to my theme’s functions.php file.
