• Hello – I am using User Ultra Pro for a social network, I was wondering if your plugin would allow a user to change/update a post with an image?

    I am using WP Front User Role plugin and it doesn’t allow for the image to update. I can edit the text of a post, but if you delete the image and add another – it doesn’t save/update the new image.

    Would your plugin address this issue?

    Thanks;
    Rhonda

    Hi Rhonda,

    I don’t think there are differences between roles plugins in this case.

    I did not see new user capabilities after Users Ultra activation. So if it could be managed by user capability, then with WordPress built-in user capability.

    In order to use Media Library role should have ‘upload_files’ user capability included. For this reason contributor can not upload new images to the Media Library, but author and editor can. Check if it is your case.

    If you insert img HTML tag into standard post manually WordPress should save it in any case, until you have installed some plugin which prevents this somehow. Possibly Users Ultra? I did not test myself, just suppose that as Users Ultra uses separate folder for its media files.
