Trying to use this with Elementor as the editor and it is crashing – is beaverbuild only editor it works with? I also do not use astra theme – I use divi

Our plugin best work with Astra. But it should work with other theme as well. If you are facing any issue then would you mind creating a support ticket, so that we can have a look on your site.
