Editing the permalink/deeplink of image

Hi,
I’m looking to edit the permalink that is displayed when an image loads. Currently it looks something like: https://mywebsite.com/#jp-carousel-238 but I’m looking for something a bit ‘prettier’ eg. https://mywebsite.com/#beautiful-sunset
How do I go about changing the permalink/deeplink to use the image title instead of this generated number? I’m comfortable delving around and editing the plugin files but not sure where to start!
