Editing the "homepage" in WordPress

  • Please help!

    I have scoured the web and cannot find a suitable answer to my issue.

    I had a third-party create my website and am simply trying to change my homepage. The title shows “PAGE NAME – Page not found” and the page itself only has a header with nothing in the body.

    I have tried changing to a “static” home page, I’ve tried making changes to the code…everything!

    Nothing seems to work and I could really use someone’s help.
