I cannot edit the stock photos on each page to my own. I also cannot figure out how to keep the featured home page (I can’t even find it – it only showed up once randomly); edit the order of my menu (it tells me I don’t have one) and do other general editing to make it conducive to my site. I really like this theme, but it is getting frustrating!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @thefarmwife.

Thank you for contacting us. I’m sorry to hear that you’re frustrated with setting up the theme.
Let me just explain few things.

You can switch off all demo content (stock photos) that came with the theme by going to Customize -> General Settings and then switching off “Show Example Content?” option.

Settings for the Featured Posts on the home page are under Customize -> Front page -> Featured categories.

Elara doesn’t come with any default menu, so you simply create your own by going to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Menus

Hope this helps, but if you have additional questions, just ask.

    Kind regards.

The only thing it helped with was getting rid of the stock photos. I cannot add my own – over my blog posts or on any page. It will not let me change my menu, even though it shows it there on the preview. If I go back to dashboard – appearance – menus – I have to set up all the pages all over again, and put in every single post again. All I can edit at this point is my title. Maybe it’s just me, but from what I can see, this theme is definitely not easy to adapt to a current website.

    OK, @thefarmwife.

All of those functionalities you’ve mentioned are standard WordPress things, which shouldn’t be affected by a theme.
However, I’d like to look at it myself, but since I’m not allowed to ask for login credentials here, could you please go to https://www.lyrathemes.com/support/ and open a new support ticket?

Someone will pick it up from there.

    Kind regards.
