Editing the CSS in admin area

    When i go to Appearance/Editor in the admin area, where it allows you to edit certain files. Currently trying to edit the stylesheet, i change the font family from tahoma to verdana and click update file but it does not save my changes.

    It is not template specific, because i tried it with all my templates.

    Please help!!!!

    I fixed it!!!

    When having trouble editing your stylesheets make sure that the website server allows the website to write to the server.

    This is usually just a setting that your Hosting company can do for you or you can do it yourself in your website control panel that is offered by the company hosting your website.

    This setting will also allow the website code to create folders and write to files that is on the server.

    Of course not everyone wants to allow write permissions to theme level files…

    I initially started with it, but to help cut down on code injection it’s advisable to not use it… imo..

    The term for changing the permissions is usually referred to as CHMOD…

    You can do this in any decent FTP program..

    I just started using wordpress and havent had a look at the actual code, but there is a better way to prevent code injection without limiting yourself on what you would like todo.

    I am sure the WordPress developers coded their blog to prevent code injection.

    Has this actually happened on your blog?
