• Hi,

How do I edit the text on my main page? https://a-panegyric.com/

I’d like to get rid of the text “Just another wordpress blog”. I’d also like to change the display message “Sorry no posts matched your criteria” on the main page to instead say something like “Welcome to xyz”.

Appreciate any ideas on how to do that.

    Thanks,
    Kunal

Edit index.php, look for that phrase and amend it.

Thanks, I was able to fix the first problem but not the second.

I modified the phrase in /themes/index.php but it doesn’t show up.

I guess my question is more like: is it possible to have a page contain the introductory text on https://a-panegyric.com/ (instead of a post), so that when users go to a-panegyricv.com, they’ll see a page with text/images on it?

The modding of index.php only works if you have a basic theme set up. If you have incorporated any of the following pages, you’ll need to amend the text in those, too:

    category.php
    single.php
    archive.php
    search.php

And tag.php if your theme includes that template file.
