Editing sidebar widgets

  • Hello,

    Can anyone tell me how I can edit how my widgets (like monthly archives, blogroll etc.) look in the sidebar? I’ve been tinkering around in the sidebar.php file but I can’t seem to pinpoint where any of the widgets crop up?

  • I would think you would want to do that in your theme’s style.css

    Thanks for getting back to me Samboll, Ive managed to edit the styles to the widgets ok now, I was just a little unsure as to why changing any of the content in the sidebar.php file had no effect on any of the widgets on my page and wondered where the content was being pulled from?

    if you use any widgets at all the dynamic sidebar takes over and changes to sidebar.php will not be reflected.
    If not using any widgets then you can make edits to sidebar.php
