• Hi there. at my site https://www.ellisfineart.com I edited the sidebar directly, not with a text widget, to say “site under construction” etc on the right sidebar above the search function.

It’s been a few months and I would like to deleted this message but I can’t figure out what document I edited…I’ve tried sidebar.php in the theme folder but can’t find any text to delete.

Can anyone take a look at the source code of my page and help me figure it out? I am using monochrome theme on wordpress 2.9.1

  • I’d take the theme into a text editor and search for the exact terms you’re looking for. That should show you which page to edit.

I searched all files in the theme content folder without success. When I switch to a different theme the text is not there. I have tried deleting and re-installing theme “monochrome” but without any luck, the text is still there! any help appreciated

It looks like you figured it out. If not, I can tell what it is.
