• I noticed a change in how user permissions for schedule posts are handled over the past few weeks. Users that had permissions to edit scheduled posts, but not publish are now no longer able to access scheduled posts. It seems we need an edit_future_posts capability—is that something you can add to the plugin?

We should look at a ‘scheduled’ post as a ‘published’ one.
There are no changes in WordPress permissions then. It affects just ‘contributor’ role.

So there is no way to hook into the future_posts status and add a capability? Scheduled posts are not published. Prior to December 2015, users who were allowed to edit posts that hadn’t yet been published could also edit scheduled posts. So something changed.

I am also looking for a way to allow the Contributor role to edit future dated (scheduled) posts. We future date our events and I make these visible to the public in an upcoming events feed. But adding the edit_published_posts capability does not allow them to edit scheduled posts.

Thank you in advance and thank you for the awesome plugin!
