• When editing a User Group (in Manage user user groups), changes to “Role affiliation” don’t change. I haven’t been able to find where this information is stored in the database.

For example, I originally set up a group titled “HPC-Subscribers” and set the role affiliation to be “Editor”, “Author”, “Subscriber” (did not include “Contributor”). Later we determined that this group should only have “Subscriber” as the affiliated role. However, when editing the “HPC-Subscribers” group, un-checking the “Editor” and “Author” roles, and updating the group, the change was not made.

  • I confirm this problem. I have it too.

I can confirm that too, with additional information: after a user level is created, when editing you can add affiliated roles to user groups, but you can’t remove them once saved.

I think the problem is with the MySQL table that stores this information. The length of the column is not enough to have custom roles with moderately big names. If you can alter the MySQL table [wp_prefix]_uam_accessgroup_to_object and the column object_id to allow more characters, maybe this is solved.
