Editing pages creates extra whitespace and strange characters

  • Does anyone know why, in 2.0.3, every time I edit a page I get new blank paragraphs – (p)(/p) throughout – and strange box characters at the end of my pages? It’s driving me nuts having to re-edit every single page four, five, or six times to get rid of all the extra whitespace that comes back and won’t go away!!

  • It would help if you would provide a pointer to a page where this is occuring.

    • Are you using the rich text editor?
    • Where exactly do the extra tags appear?
    • Are you accidently inserting extra carriage returns when you create a post?

    I’m using the visual rich editor. I’ve managed to narrow down the problem. It is related to using the <center> tag when editing the HTML manually.
