• Hi guys,
    I have a blog and I got a new template for it. Is it possible to edit my new template while my old template is still active? I am trying to avoid having an incomplete blog up while I work on my new one.
    Thanks =)

  • yes.
    if you don’t want your site down, then work offline with a WAMP.

    i suggest you use a text editor and FTP since it is much easier to undo a mistake.

    hmmm, I appreciate your help but I have no clue how to use that =)

    Is there a way to do it in dashboard? Or is this wamp thing not that confusing? I just don’t want to mess up anything.

    Thanks

    if you don’t need to see the theme “live” you can select it and work on it in the editor

    or you could simply install wordpress in a test folder on your site with your theme and tweak it – then move the theme

    Thanks samboll
    So if i just move the theme folder to my original theme folder after I edit it, it should still work?
    Thanks

    when ready to move – select the default theme

    delete the theme that is not modded 1st – then move the new one in and activate it
