Image and Date Problems with WordPress 3.9

    Since the last WP update (3.9), I’ve had the following problems:

    1) When I publish or save blog posts, the date defaults to March 2014. I checked the settings and adjusted the time (month was correct). My workaround is to change the date after the post is published using the “quick edit” feature.

    2) I can’t insert an image via URL nor do I have the option to add a border to images (unless I include a caption).

    3) My blog has several authors. The byline (via Gravatar) is now defaulting to a specific blogger. Even after I change the author (i.e., after the post is published), it defaults back to one particular blogger.

    I deactivated all plugins, switched to the default theme, and still had the same problems (even with all plugins deactivated).
