• I just migrated from wordpress.com to .org and am excited about the transition.
The first thing I wanted to do was access the .html or xhtml for my pages and edit titles, alt links, alt image tags, etc.
So far I am only able to find the .css to edit which I will get to later. For now, how do I access the page code?
    Thanks,

  • The same way you accessed it on wordpress.com – via Edit Pages or Edit Posts. If you want to customise your theme, I’d suggest starting with Theme_Development.

Thanks esmi but I was looking for a place to edit title tags, add/edit meta tags. I did find a way to do this with the yoast plugin which is pretty cool. I’m sure I can still add alt text to links and images in the old edit mode.
Still trying to get acquainted with the new .org platform. So far I’m lovin it.

You might also want to look at the TinyMCE Advanced plugin. It doesn’t deal with the metatags, etc., but it does give you a lot better control over the HTML used in your posts and pages.

Did you ever get an answer to your question about editing your xhtml code? I’ve also just switched from .com to .org and in the process, lost my site title, don’t know where it went and want it back. Any ideas on where it went or how to get into the code?
the site is wolfftrax.com the other is still up at wolfftrax.wordpress.com

    Thankx!

    Hi Lezlie,
I’m pretty much doing it with the yoast plug-in. It’s an awesome tool. A bit limited but still very useful.
I’m now trying to figure out how to add iframes to my blog.
Is anyone aware if this is do-able? Would like to add other pages/illustrations to my blog posts.
