Hey there! I’m really struggling with how to edit my site. Nothing about this is intuitively arranged in the editing area(s)

If I go to PAGES in the menu, and edit the blog page, nothing changes on the site. I see that I have a blog template, but if I make changes, they don’t take effect on the blog page, either. I had to build my entire blog aesthetic on the HOME TEMPLATE, which is not intuitive at all.

If I go to “pages” and hit “edit” for the blog page, nothing I take time to build there shows up anywhere. So why does that option exist? And why does my “blog template” not make changes to my blog page? Why does my “Home Template” dictate my blog page, but not my actual homepage? I can’t change the name of the home template to make it say blog template. Is there a way to organize this in a way that makes sense? Am I missing a piece of information that makes this make sense? Yes, I’m new to making a website, but this so poorly arranged that I wish I had gone with another website builder.

In the Home template, on the blog Block, there is a grey rectangle next to each blog post title in the list. I tried adding a photo to each one, but it copies the same photo onto all of them, rather than allowing me to have a corresponding photo to each post on the blog page. I don’t understand why.
