Editing header/footer

  • Hello,
    Can someone please tell me where I can edit the header and footer? I’ve tried looking in the files and can’t seem to find it.

    It’s better that you describe what you’re trying to do and we can advise. You shouldn’t edit any core templates, especially if you’re not using a child theme.

    I am using a child theme. I’m trying to add a link to the cart next to the search bar and switch out the header text for a logo, and I’m trying to change the footer copyright text and add 4 columns for a menu in the footer.

    Adding a logo is easy. Activate either Jetpack or the Storefront Site Logo plugin and you’ll be able to add one via the customizer.

    You can filter the copyright text using the storefront_copyright_text filter.

    There is support for a 4 column footer, just add a widget to each ‘footer’ region.

    All of what you want to do can be done, without touching any template files ??
