    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

What exactly does this mean? Are you getting any error messages?

Can you please check if the browser’s error log console shows anything (which you can (at least for Google Chrome) open by hitting “Ctrl?+?Shift?+?J” (Windows/Linux) or “Cmd?+?Option?+?J” (Mac) on the keyboard).

My guess is that another plugin’s JavaScript code is maybe interfering. If the above doesn’t really yield any information, can you therefore please try again after temporarily deactivating all other plugins and after switching to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Twenty? That way, we can find what’s causing this.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hello Tobias

while trying to save i do not get any message, not any error message, not any confirmation message… Nothing happens. I cannot save any changes, and cannot create new tables. i will try.. really hope solution..

    martin

I just installed the Max version I purchased and I can’t save changes to a table or to settings in individual tables. I was using the free version and have 145 existing tables. I can create a new table and it saves just fine. But I can’t save changes to a table that existed when using the free version. I tried multiple tables and nothing happens when I click save.

    Hi @veenm and @marjesch,

sorry to hear that you are having these issues. Can you maybe try the suggestion from above regarding JavaScript errors in the browser console? Are you seeing anything there?

If possible, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore please get in touch via email (the address is on https://tablepress.org/impressum/ )? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

If I export a table and then import it, I can make changes and save them.

I’m also getting this error message on some tables: “The entered value in the “Fixed Columns on the left” field is invalid.”

I’ll get in touch with you via the link you gave. Luckily it’s on a duplication of my currently live site so nothing is immediately effected.

Just checked on my live site that is still running the free version, but is updated to 2.0. All is fine there. My problem is with existing tables running the Max version.

    Hi @marjesch,

    thanks for those details!

Can you maybe try again after activating or deactivating any of the feature modules on the “Modules” screen? This should reset some default values for the new table options user interface fields.

If that also does not help, yes, please get in touch by email. Thank you!

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

Aha! I deactivated all modules and now I can save. I’ll try adding back in the modules I care about and see what happens.

    Hi @marjesch,

yes, that sounds like a good plan here ?? Thank you for trying that. Please let me know how it goes!

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

That totally resolved the issue. I can activate any (and all) modules and save tables. Excellent support. Been using the free version for a long time. Looking forward to taking advantage of the Max version.

    Hi @marjesch,

    awesome! Thanks for the confirmation!

Normally, that mentioned resetting of the default values should have happened during the initial installation, but that’s why there’s these fallbacks ??

Thank you for your nice words!

Enjoy the festive season and have a great 2023!

@veenm: If you continue to have this problem, please get in touch, as mentioned in my reply above. Thanks!

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
