Editing CSS files but doesn't show changes

  • So I have a theme, In the editor it shows stylesheet.css but it has no styles in it except this: @CHARSET "ISO-8859-1";

    I go into cPanel to edit the .css (custom.css & main.css) files that way, apply my changes but they don’t show on my website.

    Cleared browser cache, cleared wordpress cache but nothing seems to help.
