Editing 'Coupon:deals' text – instructions in plugin folder do not work

Hi there,
I followed the directions in the TXT file in the languages folder, but they stop the discount working at all, and output the following:
Coupon: deals
Coupon: Discount RemoveI’m using WPML if that makes a difference.
Lastly, it seems to me it would make sense to list the applied discount titles here, rather than output simply ‘deals’. Is this possible?
