Editing content & Header area via css in child theme

    Been trying forever to edit header and content areas to change their opacity to reveal background image but the only selector i can find that seems to work is the #main-wrapper{} Selector but I don’t want the whole body transparent.
    I’ve switched between rgba and "opacity: x.x;" to no avail. I left the code in the stylesheet so you could see the attempts i didn’t erase;
    my website is “Relationanarchia.com” taking it out of maintenance mode now. Any help would be appreciated.

    Maintenance mode was taken down via plugin, just found out it’s still up via the mojo marketplace plugin i deleted, troubleshooting..
