Editing Block Patterns – Ultimate Member block restrictions
-
I use CoBlocks to define and manage block patterns, and Ultimate Member (UM) to control the visibility of blocks within pages/posts. Until recently this has worked well.
Within the past couple of weeks the behaviour has changed.
Existing “normal” blocks within posts and pages that have UM restrictions continue to work as before (including those that were created from patterns created in CoBlocks).
However, when I try to place a block pattern created using CoBlocks in a page/post the content restrictions on group blocks in the pattern are removed when the block is placed in the page/post.
Going to Appearance …. Block Patterns and editing the pattern shows that the restriction is no longer on the group block. When I add the restriction to the group block and update the pattern, the restriction remains on the editing page. However, if I return to the list of block patterns and open the same pattern to edit it again, the restriction has disappeared.
I am trying to do a plugin conflict investigation, but if CoBlocks is disabled, I am unable to edit or apply any of the block patterns I have created.
As the issue only applies to the CoBlocks patterns themselves (and not to the posts derived from them), I am unable to investigate potential conflicts.
How can I proceed?
I am using:
WprdPress 6.6.6
PHP 8.1.17
CoBlocks 3.04
Ultimate Member (free version) 2.63
