• Hi,

I’d like to make the following changes to my author archive pages:

    1. Break up the author bio text into paragraphs, it being combined into a single paragraph for some reason.
    2. Add another H2 to denote that the content on the page is written by the author, as this is not made clear.
    3. Add an icon with the author’s email address.

I can’t figure out how to do this. As a start I looked at using Elements but you can’t specify an individual author bio under “Location”, only “Author Archives” which I assume means all of them.

Don’t mind hardcoding it as I only have two authors.

    Thanks

  • Hi @rocketpig3,

The Elements feature is a Premium feature. We only provide support for it in the Premium forums, and it’s not also allowed by WordPress to provide any premium support here.

Can you start a new topic in generate.support instead?

I’m not necessarily using Elements, just suggesting it as a solution. I am premium but can’t make a thread there.

I see. Can you send us an email here so we can assist with regards to your issue of not being able to raise a topic in our Premium forums?: https://generatepress.com/contact/

We’ll do our best to assist you.

That page doesn’t seem to allow tickets to be logged as an email, it redirects to the forum? I have sent an email under the account issues section regardless.

Yes, raising an “Account/Billing” issue in the link I sent is the correct way to reach out to us regarding this issue.

Our Accounts team will respond to you ASAP.

I was informed that my license has expired. So can I please get help with this issue here, assuming free support is offered?

Sorry, but we can’t. GP Elements is a Premium feature and we only provide support for it in our Premium forums. It’s not permitted by WordPress as well to provide premium support here.

Without GP Premium, you’ll need to create your own author.php template and make your customizations there.
